Wow

So my 22 month old daughter just handed me her dolly and said "hold please" like she does every morning. She hands me all the stuff she wants to take downstairs and then I hold her hand so she can traverse the staircase. After the doll she hands me her blanket and says "hold that too please." Uhhhhhh?

This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but look at that sentence. Hold is pretty easy. It's just your standard verb in this case, probably its most common use but come on "that?" I don't know where she learned that! Well probably us but I don't know HOW she learned it. They don't go much past numbers, letters, and colors on Sesame Street. I know. I know. She probably should have said "hold this" instead but come on. That is one of our more advanced words to string into a sentence. It can be a pronoun, adjective, adverb, and I'm pretty sure a conjunction if I remember my language arts class. (Ms. Hensley would be so proud! May she rest in piece.) Its pretty impressive to me that she could toss a too in there as well. The please is just the icing on the cake. I don't know how I am gonna be able to keep up with this kid and at this rate I won't be able to help her with her homework after 2nd grade haha.
